Privacy
A straightforward approach to your information.
What tottle.us records, why, and for how long. The site is run by Tottle LLC; write to hello@tottle.us with any question or request about your data.
Project inquiries and consultations
- When you send the contact form, we store the name, email address, company, the service and kind of conversation you chose, your message, any preferred date and time, and when you agreed to us using these details.
- We use them to review your request and to write back about potential work. Each inquiry is also sent by email to our team’s inbox, so a person sees it.
- We keep an inquiry while we handle the conversation and any work that follows, and delete it when you ask us to.
- Please do not send passwords, access keys, customer records, or other confidential system data.
When you visit any page
- Our server records the page you asked for, the request method, your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string, the referring page, your browser’s preferred languages and the time.
- We use this to count visits, to spot abusive traffic, and to tell genuine search-engine crawlers from bots that only claim to be one.
- To see roughly where visits come from, each new IP address is looked up once with the ipwho.is geolocation service, which returns an approximate country, city and network. That lookup sends the IP address to ipwho.is.
- Visit records are kept for at most 180 days, then deleted automatically, together with the location looked up for an IP address that no longer appears in them.
Launch email signups
If you signed up on the earlier version of this site for a launch email, we keep that address until you ask us to remove it, and use it only for that one email.
What we do not do
- No cookies are set for visitors, and the site loads no analytics, advertising, tracking scripts or fonts from other hosts.
- We do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Links and scheduling
Product links and any external scheduling page take you to a separate website with its own privacy practices. Sending an inquiry does not book a consultation.
Why we may do this
An inquiry rests on your consent, which you give with the checkbox on the form and can withdraw at any time by asking us to delete it. Visit records rest on our legitimate interest in keeping the site working and free of abuse.
Your choices
You can ask to see the data held about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, at hello@tottle.us.
